Romantic Novelists Association New Writers Scheme

I stayed up late on the 2nd of January, the sole purpose was to get my email sent in for the NWS. I decided that i needed to move forward in my writing and already knowing about this scheme I was determind to join.

After waiting several hours I finally recieved an email saying I had got a place on the scheme. Needless to say I danced around my kitchen and ran upstairs to tell the family. I have even made plans to go to the winter party they hold booking it on the calender and hubby has no choice lol.

I will get to join in all the events they have and to have a full manuscript read. If it is deemed ready they may pass it to a publisher or agent.
Maybe this year my luck will change :)

New Year New Start

After a long time sat on the writing sidelines, I decided it was time to take the bull by the horns and finally do someting with my writing. I received the latest issue of  FMN and on looking through found a few markets which I already had stories for and all the information I needed. So today on New Years Day I wrote both articles and sent them off. All I can do is wait and see but it felt good to be writing again.

If you don't try then you will never know, I felt like I wasn't good enough to be published and my university work had been getting in the way or rather that was my excuse not to write. Time management is key to this.

Happy New Year to all :) xx
